چکیده

this study investigated the in vitro production of interferon-γ, interleukin (il)-10, il-12, and il-13, after antigenic stimulation of the cells (with leishmania antigen and lipopolysaccharide) using whole blood from patients with cutaneous leishmaniasis lesions caused by leishmania tropica and in volunteers with history of cutaneous leishmaniasis. elisa results showed that the mean production of interferon-γ by cells of whole blood in patients with lesions in response to leishmania antigen was significantly lower than corresponding values in volunteers with history of cutaneous leishmaniasis (p in this study, we have detected the decreased production of interferon- γ by cells of patients with lesions of cutaneous leishmaniasis in response to parasite antigen and unbalanced production of regulatory cytokines such as il-10 and il-13 using the whole-blood stimulation assay technique. the required small volume of blood and the rapid set up time are the advantages in this assay technique. using this assay for further immunodetection of cytokines may confirm its value for clinical investigation.

Evaluation of IL-17 and IL-10 Production in Infectious Mononucleosis in EBV Patients

Epstein–Barr virus is primarily the cause of acute infectious mononucleosis and can also cause lymphoma and autoimmune diseases. Th17 cells, which are a unique subset of ThCD4+ cells, direct the infection toward inflammation through production of inflammatory cytokine IL-17. In contrast, Treg Foxp3 cells inhibit inflammation through secretion of anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10, leading to chro...

Increased levels of IL-10, IL-12, and IFN- in patients with visceral leishmaniasis.

Visceral leishmaniasis remains a serious public health problem in developing countries. Cytokines have a crucial role in the pathogenesis of this disease. We evaluated plasma levels of IL-10, IL-12 and IFN- in 32 patients with active visceral lieshmaniasis, in 29 siblings of the patients and in 23 normal individuals in an endemic area to look for correlations between the clinical outcome of inf...

Natural Oils Enhance IL-10 and IFN-γ Production by Human PBMCs Cultured with Malassezia furfur

Background: Malassezia furfur is alipophilic yeast that causes skin disease. Objective: To evaluate the level of IL-10, IFN-γ and IL-12P70 in co-incubation of M. furfur grown on different forms of natural oils with PBMCs of healthy individuals. Methods: PBMCs were obtained from blood samples of normal volunteers. M. furfur was cultured in different culture media containing almond oil, fish oil,...

Serum Level of Selenium, IL-4, IL-10 & IFN-g in Patients with Allergic Asthma, Allergic Rhinitis and Healthy Controls

Background: Allergic diseases have increased during the past decade worldwide. Th2 type lymphocyte response is known to play an important role in the process of allergic inflammation. IL-4, a mediator of type II cytokine response increases IgE synthesis and Interferon gamma, a cytokine of type I response interferes with IL-4 and inhibits IgE production. Selenium is an essential component of glu...

IκBζ augments IL-12- and IL-18-mediated IFN-γ production in human NK cells.

Interferon-γ (IFN-γ) production by natural killer (NK) cells and cytotoxic lymphocytes is a key component of innate and adaptive immune responses. Because inhibitor of κB-ζ (IκBζ), a Toll-like receptor (TLR)/interleukin-1 receptor (IL-1R) inducible transcription factor, regulates IFN-γ production in KG-1 cells, we tested IκBζ's role in the classic lymphocyte pathway of IL-12/IL-18-induced IFN-γ...
